Call for applications for the selection of experts for the new Performance Review Board of the Single European Sky

The recently adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/2803 on the implementation of the Single European Sky establishes a new Performance Review Board comprising seven members, including a chair, for which applications are now open. Applicants are expected to have competence and high-level professional experience in relevant areas listed in the call. Applications from appropriately qualified, impartial experts able to act independently are sought.

The Single European Sky legal framework aims to improve the overall efficiency of the provision of air navigation services in European airspace. It tasks the Performance Review Board to help the European Commission in implementing the Single European Sky's performance and charging scheme by providing independent advice and expertise. The scheme is the mechanism for the economic regulation of monopoly air navigation service providers.

The appointed candidates are expected to start working in September 2025. They will be remunerated for their work. The indicative number of working days required per year and per member is between 30 and 50 days. The contractual arrangements will be subject to applicable financial rules and available budget.

Please note that the applications, duly signed and in line with the requirements of the call, must be sent by 26 May 2025 12:00 (noon), Brussels time, at the latest in order to be considered.

Interested individuals are invited to read the below text of the call.
